Seven's new entertainment series, hosted by Dannii Minogue, is coming to Mondays & Tuesdays.

Seven’s new entertainment series Dance Boss will premiere on Monday August 6 and continue Tuesday August 7.

The series, in which 12 work crews compete for a $100,000 prize and dance title, features Dannii Minogue as host with Sharni Vinson, Adam Garcia and Timomatic judging.

“These crews are going to dance like nobody is watching – with all of Australia watching!” says Dannii who also serves as one of the program’s executive producers. “It’s no secret that I love to dance, I can’t wait to see what Australia will bring to the dancefloor.”

The Seven-devised series will go head to head with Nine’s Block in a 7:30 timeslot, while TEN is yet to reveal its full programming schedule.

It’s time to get down to business with Dance Boss – a brand- new television dance competition hosted by entertainment icon Dannii Minogue.

Pitting extraordinary amateur dancers from ordinary workplaces against each other in epic dance battles, Dance Boss sees 12 crews of workers from the same workplace or profession compete to win a $100,000 pay cheque and realise their dance dreams.

Dannii is joined on the dancefloor by judges Sharni Vinson, Adam Garcia and Timomatic. With decades of professional dance experience between them, Sharni, Adam and Timomatic will give each crew a score out of 30, based on their Passion, Performance, and Entertainment factor or ‘PPE.’

Joining Dannii and our judges is ARIA nominated and multi-platinum selling artist, resident DJ Sketch, aka Matt Coleman, one half of DJ duo Bombs Away.

Sketch will pump out the tunes; a playlist covering everything from Madonna to Bonnie Tyler, Drake, Ceelo Green, Britney Spears, JLO, Lady Gaga, Backstreet Boys and The Spice Girls, just to name a few.

Jazz, hip-hop, disco, contemporary, tap, Latin and ballroom – all genres will be mashed up on the Dance Boss roster as we uncover the best workplace dance crew in Australia! Dance Boss is an original Seven Studios production. Executive Producers are Geraldine Orrock and Dannii Minogue. Sonya Wilkes is Head of Development for Seven.

  1. Watching the show now and love it. So sassy, entertaining and thank goodness I can smile again to this upbeat show. Congratulations Dannii, love seeing you.

  2. So competitors don’t have to be from the same workplace, just the same “profession”. That seems to imply that a team of scouts have scoured the dance schools, and then grouped dancers with similar professions together. Oh well, more believable than actual workplaces having dance groups.

  3. From the promos it looks like they made it in a shoebox with the smallest dance stage possible. Can’t see it succeeding esp if it is going nightly. Would work better a a weekly show I think.

  4. As much as I love Dannii I doubt this will work in a big way. Big risk on those nights of the week too. Ten will offer up Survivor or The Bachelor on those same nights …. maybe The Bachelor is moving up to the start of the week to give Survivor less competition?
