MasterChef, Paying Attention score on Monday.

Ratings: TEN pips Nine in the primary channels while Seven network wins Monday.

MasterChef and House Rules were neck and neck last night, with TEN out in front on 873,000 of Seven’s 853,000. It was also ahead in the demos. That left Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation on 508,000, trailing Back Roads and 7:30.

By around 8:50pm Have You Been Paying Attention? was again the leader on 809,000 and topping the demos. Four Corners, Media Watch, Big Bang and First Dates followed.

TEN finished in second place in the primary channels ahead of Nine but Seven network won Monday with 27.6% then Nine 25.0%, TEN 21.3%, ABC 18.3% and SBS 7.9%.

Seven News was #1 for Seven with 1.12m / 1.07m then House Rules (851,000), Home and Away (761,000), The Chase (728,000 / 437,000), First Dates (457,000), and Wimbledon (239,000).

Nine News (1.01m / 986,000) was best for Nine then A Current Affair (787,000), Hot Seat (554,000 / 330,000), Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation (508,000), The Big Bang Theory (501,000 / 385,000). Footy Classified was 171,000 in 3 cities. 100% Footy was 68,000 in 2.

MasterChef Australia (873,000) and Have You Been Paying Attention? (809,000) led for TEN then The Project (572,000 / 389,000 ), TEN Eyewitness News (468,000), Family Feud (351,000) and The Graham Norton Show (317,000).

ABC News (763,000), Back Roads (647,000), 7:30 (629,000), Four Corners (613,000), Media Watch (575,000), Q&A (390,000) and Think Tank (256,000) comprised ABC’s night.

On SBS it was FIFA World Cup Bra v Mex (269,000), Lady Jane Grey (215,000), 24 Hours in Emergency (160,000), and SBS World News (146,000). A Croatia v Denmark game was 101,000.

ABC KIDS’ Andy’s Prehistoric Adventures topped multichannels with 190,000. Love Island was 174,000.

    1. 174k is not bad for a secondary channel. Don’t know what Nine’s expectations were but couldn’t be too high. I’d like to see the digital screening numbers on top of the airing numbers.

    Guess the poor gurl deserves a night off , she’s worked very hard this season as host , all of her 5-10 mins screen time all season ??
    Wonder what her pay is .. easy money if you can get it

    1. I have thought that also what a great gig a couple of months in sunny Spain with a bit of work thrown in. While I am sure there is a bit more to it then what is in the final screening it, half her luck.

  2. I really like HYBPA but last night was the worst eample of reading the responses to the questions. It was too obvious everytime they read the auto-cue to their right. It took the enjoyment out of the show.
