The penultimate Pilot Week offering for your consideration is Dave featuring its creator Dave O’Neil.
Did you enjoy?
Which bits were funniest and what do you want to see more of?
Or did it all fail to tickle your fancy?
Funny-man Dave O’Neil opens the doors to his crazy life in this half-hour narrative comedy, as he juggles a fledgling comedy career and bringing up two kids.Â
In tonight’s episode, Dave is attacked with dim sims, forgets to pick up his kids and is punched by Brendan Fevola at the school fete!
Filled with cameos from Australia’s comedy legends including Emily Taheny, Glenn Robbins, Dave Hughes, Dilruk Jaysinha, Dave Thornton and Geraldine Hickey, there are guaranteed laugh-out-loud moments, but above all, there is plenty of heart.

I finally got around to watching it yesterday. I really enjoyed it. Loved when Hughsey threw his phone into the pool.
Impressed it bounced!
I enjoyed it. While not an absolute fan of O’Neils stand-up, he was funny in this, and Dave Thornton and Glenn Robins are great. If they can manage to weave in various Aussie stand up comedians into the show it should be good.
I watched the pilot and it was okay. Don’t care if it gets picked up. Probably wouldn’t watch a second episode.
Forgot it was on, was watching the footy. Have to catch up with it later
Follow up : watched it via tenplay. Had a few laughs, reminded me a liitle of Man with a Plan
I liked it. I laughed a few times.
Dammmm! Missed it. Crap time slot and forgot to tape it. Hopefully it’s repeated – but can’t seem to see it on my listing!
Replay at 10.40pm tomorrow night on TEN
Thanks, saw the last part – also forgot about TenPlay – so will look at it today!!!
I’m confused as to whether it was supposed to be a drama or a comedy. Couldn’t really understand it to be honest. Felt like it was missing something
“dramedy”
It wasn’t either of those things.
