Highly anticipated UK drama Bodyguard will drop on Netflix on October 24.

The Brit thriller starring Keeley Hawes and Richard Madden has become the biggest new drama on UK television in a decade.

The series by Jed Mercurio (Line of Duty) tells the story of a heroic but volatile war veteran (Richard Madden) assigned to protect the Home Secretary (Hawes) whose politics run contrary to his own. Responsible for her safety, is he actually her biggest threat?

Deadline reports the deal for Bodyguard, produced by World Productions, an ITV Studios company, was made through Netflix’s co-licensing team. The digital platform has been a partner since the show’s early production stages.
