Seven will roll straight into a second season of 9-1-1 this Wednesday, which sees Jennifer Love Hewitt join the cast.

This is the first episode of a 2 part storyline affecting Los Angeles.

Excluding post-Super Bowl, this was FOX’s most-watched entertainment program in two years at 13.8 million 3-day multi-platform viewers.

9-1-1 explores the high-pressure experiences of police officers, firefighters and dispatchers who are thrust into the most frightening, shocking and heart-stopping situations.

These emergency responders must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable with solving the problems in their own lives.

The provocative series stars Angela Bassett, Peter Krause and Golden Globe nominee Jennifer Love Hewitt (Ghost Whisperer, Criminal Minds).

The cast also features Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Kenneth Choi, Rockmond Dunbar and new series regular Ryan Guzman (Heroes Reborn).

8:30pm Wednesday on Seven.

  1. We’re enjoying 9-1-1 – good casting and the story lines are credible.
    We also enjoyed Dead Lucky on SBS (which we binged yesterday). David, any word if Dead Lucky was just a once off, or is there a chance there’s a follow-up to come? TIAIYCH.
