Two new streaming platforms, Sundance Now and Shudder, are set to launch in Australia and New Zealand later this year.
Sundance Now offers original and exclusive dramas and true-crime series, in addition to movies from every genre, including foreign-language and documentary features. It will feature documentary series Jonestown: Terror in the Jungle and six-episode dramedy This Close.
Shudder claims to be the world’s largest premium streaming service with uncut thriller, suspense and horror content, including Satan’s Slaves, Terrified, Summer of 84 and Hell House LLC II: The Abaddon Hotel.
Both are owned by US-based AMC Networks and follows their launches in Canada, the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria and the US.
Launch dates are yet to be announced.

I did a little wee of delight over Shudder finally arriving on our shores. I have been harassing them every month asking when they are going to turn up here, and now, here they are!! So excited!
Really looking forward to seeing Shudder here in Australia. As a huge fan of the horror/thriller genre, the selection on Netflix really leaves something to be desired. Hopefully we get a pretty good selection of films here… maybe they can dive into the large Ozploitation library.
Ozflix would have those, but there is no monthly subscription available.
Amazing one minute we had nothing,to now a choice of so many, can’t complain thou competition is good as long as the content is of a high quality
