2008 NZ comedy Beached Az is making a 10th anniversary series.

The initial $16 online cartoon about a Kiwi whale that is beached became a YouTube sensation leading to 2 TV seasons on ABC.

Creators Anthony Macfarlane, Jarod Green, and Nick Boshier now plan a new series tackling issues relating to ocean health, such as global warming, over-fishing, farmed-fishing, pollution, coral bleaching, and even “unchecked-capitalism.”

The 10-part series is currently in production for a March 2019 release on Facbook, YouTube & Instagram.
