The first episode started well with a claustrophobic and disturbing insight into a submariners experience of war, but after such a promising beginning the show (especially to war movie fans familiar with the genre) predictably recycled a lot of familiar wartime scenarios that have been well used elsewhere in other German and European productions, all the same this show looks promising and well worth a watch.
