National Geographic screens a cheeky docudrama Valley of the Boom that charts the history of Silicon Valley.

This is a 6 part series that will screen with double eps across 3 weeks.

From the explosive rise of Silicon Valley in the 90s through the 2001 dot-com bust, Valley of the Boom charts the rise, fall and rebirth of tech as we’ve come to know it. The development of the World Wide Web saw creativity and innovation collide with unlimited potential as Wall Street and venture capitalists poured cash in to a system they knew nothing about, with no means for control.
Valley of the Boom pulls back the curtain and introduces the audience to the real stories of these founders’ friendships, rivalries, victories and failures. Told with unparalleled access to the most ground breaking and prominent figures in the tech world, the six-part limited series follows the stories that made the history of the era.

From STXtv, the television division of Robert Simonds’ STX Entertainment, along with creator, showrunner, director and executive producer Matthew Carnahan (Showtime’s “House of Lies”) and executive producer Arianna Huffington.
