Returning: Show Me the Movie!

Brooke Satchwell joins Rove McManus & Joel Creasey in 10's cinema quiz show.

Season 2 of cinema quiz Show Me the Movie will screen on 10 from Friday February 8 with Rove McManus & Joel Creasey.

This year the always-delightful Brooke Satchwell replaces Jane Harber as a team captain.

It isn’t clear if the Friday slot means changes for The Living Room, perhaps delayed while Dr. Chris Brown & Amanda Keller juggle other TV commitments.

The Golden Globes have come and gone, Oscar nominations are due to be released any day now, and the box office queues are metres long as we all attempt to catch the hot summer blockbusters that everyone’s talking about.

In this flurry of Hollywood hype, it’s only fitting that our gurus of the silver screen make their return to the small screen on Friday, 8 February when Show Me The Movie! premieres on the 10 and WIN Network.

Host Rove McManus is back alongside Team Captain Joel Creasey, who have both been busy scrubbing up on their movie knowledge to ensure they pull out all the stops against new Team Captain, Brooke Satchwell.

No stranger to the world of showbiz, Australian actress Brooke Satchwell comes to us fresh from playing a good woman who fell for a bad guy in TV drama Mr Inbetween.

Can Joel debut with a win against Brooke as Rove fires movie trivia at their team configurations of actors, comedians and visiting international stars? From Hollywood hits to chick flicks, Show Me The Movie! will quiz our stars on the good, the bad and the ugly of the big screen.

7:30pm Friday, 8 February on 10.

Corrected.

  1. More Teagan Higginbotham hey, she’s becoming the new Eddie everywhere just about every time I put on an Australian show Tegan is there. From Whovians to Nowhere Boys to Upper Middle Bogan to The Ex-PM to Sideliners and on it goes, was even a guest commentator on an AFLW game once (maybe due to Sideliners).

    1. I agree with you regarding Joel. I use to enjoy his comedy when it was delivered dry and rather dead pan. Nowadays he overplays the delivery which, in my eyes, means he thinks he’s funny.

  2. I’m extremely surprised this has been given a 2nd series. The first series didn’t work at all. A lot of pressure on Brooke Satchwell to lift it up and carry Joel Creasey but she is capable of doing that. She’s genuinely quick witted and doesn’t over act which Creasey might learn a thing or two from.
Enthusiasm doesn’t have to mean yelling which I hope they have also fixed.
Don’t get me started on the dreadful set, desks and camera angles!
