Renewed: Vera

UK drama Vera has been renewed for a tenth series.

Brenda Blethyn will return as DCI Vera Stanhope in four feature length episodes, set against the backdrop of the North East in 2020.

Kenny Doughty will return as Detective Sergeant Aiden Healy, along with Jon Morrison as DC Kenny Lockhart, Riley Jones who plays DC Mark Edwards, Ibinabo Jack who plays DC Jacqueline Williams and Paul Kaye who returns as Pathologist Dr. Malcolm Donahue.

Brenda Blethyn said, “Along with the rest of the cast of Vera, I’m delighted to be embarking on series ten. The enthusiasm and warmth shown to Vera has been overwhelming and we can’t wait to get started. Newcastle here we come!”

Vera airs in Australia on 13 Street and ABC, which is currently screening Season 7.
