Toni Collette in new Netflix film

Collette to star in a film adaptation of I'm Thinking of Ending Things for director Charlie Kaufman.

Toni Collette has her third Netflix project with shooting underway on a film adaptation of Iain Reid’s internationally best selling novel I’m Thinking of Ending Things

Charlie Kaufman (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) will write and direct the adaptation, which also features Jesse Plemons (Vice, The Post), Jessie Buckley (Wild Rose, Beast) and David Thewlis (Fargo, Wonder Woman)

Named an NPR Best Book of the Year in 2016, I’m Thinking of Ending Things examines the fragility of the psyche and the limitations of solitude. On a road trip to meet his parents on their secluded farm, Jake’s girlfriend is thinking of ending things. When Jake makes an unexpected detour, leaving her stranded, a twisted mix of palpable tension, psychological frailty, and sheer terror ensues.

Collette starred in Wanderlust for BBC and Netflix and will also feature in Unbelievable, based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning article “An Unbelievable Story of Rape.”

      1. Please be fair Steven, Netflix have lifted their game with some of their series / movies, obviously some of their art house productions will feature some eccentric creations including from well known producers and Hollywood actors who will exploit Netflix’s desire for entertainment diversity which in the real commercial world will never make any money. There’s some excellent animation too, the adult ‘Love Death + Robots’ production is an excellent example, as are some of their non English speaking shows, which are value for money by themselves.
