  1. I am generally not a fan of a lot of these “trash shows” (Married At First Sight, I’m looking at you), but there is a silly fun to Love Island – It’s a trashy concept, that acknowledges itself as a trashy fun show (and doesn’t hide behind the “Social Experiment” label, like MAFS)

I honestly didn’t mind catching an episode or two here or there, as some dumb fun.

  2. “Truly looking for love”. *snort*

The Bachelor franchise, being the slightly lesser of evils, hasn’t produced a single married couple yet (at least in Australia). I doubt One-Night-Stand Island will even produce any sort of couple beyond Friends/Glee/Neighbours/Bold levels of social incest.

      1. I stand corrected. I must have missed the memo. Nevertheless, some of the pairings have been together so long that the marriage has been exhausted before it has even “legally” begun.

I think marriage laws in this country need a complete overhaul as there are so many hoops (especially regarding divorce) that it’s no wonder so many have resorted to cohabitation. By the time couples have already slept together, shared a mortgage, had kids, traveled, and experienced everything that a couple *should* experience as a married couple, one begs the question… what have they left for marriage?

          1. Haha i agree poida. The continuous whining about MAFS is more nauseating than the show itself. Was amusing how Zoodle had to jump off the high horse as quick as he/she jumped on it lol. Incorrect “facts” being used to support a rant.
