MKR reclaims reality timeslot, Bachelor in Paradise tops demos.

Ratings: Bachelor in Paradise launch makes some inroads after weeks of worrying network numbers.

With the MAFS juggernaut concluded, there was something of a reset last night.

My Kitchen Rules reclaimed the 7:30 slot at 854,000, up marginally on last Tuesday’s 832,000.

From there it was a bit of a bunfight. 7:30 was second in its slot at 574,000 then The Big Bang Theory (571,000 / 469,000).

The return of Bachelor in Paradise drew 553,000 for 10, ranked fourth but up on current network shows in the slot. It also managed to top the demos, which is encouraging. The only way is up?

Seven network won Tuesday with 29.4% then Nine 28.3%, 10 17.7%, ABC 16.2% and SBS 8.4%.

Seven News (1.01m / 995,000) was #1 for Seven. Home & Away drew 666,000, The Chase (602,000 / 403,000), Gordon Gino & Fred: The Ultimate Roadtrip (326,000)

Nine News (907,000 / 896,000) led for Nine then ACA (799,000). Hot Seat was 533,000 / 340,000 and movie: Guardians of the Galaxy 2 was 355,000.

The Project drew 432,000 / 252,000 for 10 then 10 News First (380,000), NCIS (272,000), Pointless (193,000) and NCIS: LA (168,000) followed.

ABC News (662,000) led for ABC. Foreign Correspondent was 404,000, then Employable Me (355,000), Louis Theroux (252,000) and The Drum (232,000).

On SBS it was Great Continental Railway Journeys (256,000), Insight (255,000), Dateline (195,000) and SBS World News (131,000).

ABC KIDS hit Bluey again topped multichannels at 217,000.

  1. There is nothing encouraging about Bachelor thingy figures. Anything that encourages people to continually watch this crap just encourages them (the networks). Surely all this rubbish must sooner or later come to an end.
