ABC down on Tuesday as Nine wins

Ratings: The Voice and ACA too strong for the competition. Is SBS drawing viewers away from The Recording Studio?

ABC may have been competitive for the 7-8pm hour last night but it was unable to compete elsewhere last night.

The Voice led in entertainment shows at 977,000, up on last Tuesday, and a long lead ahead of MasterChef Australia (635,000), House Rules (611,000) -also both up on last Tuesday- and 7:30 (502,000).

Who Do You Think You Are? on SBS pulled 307,000, arguably drawing some viewers away from The Recording Studio on ABC on just 257,000.

Nine network won the night with 29.7% then Seven 28.9%, 10 17.9%, ABC 14.8% and SBS 8.7%.

Seven News was #1 with 1.18m / 1.12m for Seven followed by Home and Away (752,000), The Chase (682,000 / 433,000). Andrew Denton: Interview drew 520,000, up on last week, then God Friended Me (190,000).

Nine News (986,000 / 985,000) led for Nine. A Current Affair was high at 847,000 then Hot Seat (595,000 / 353,000). The Big Bang Theory pulled 576,000 / 410,000. Timeless was 158,000.

The Project was 487,000 / 319,000 for 10 then 10 News First (458,000) then Mr Black (309,000), Celebrity Name Game (293,000) and NCIS (181,000 / 174,000).

ABC News (722,000) led for ABC.  A repeat of David Attenborough’s Great Barrier Reef was 222,000, The Drum drew 213,000 and China’s Artful Dissident was just 122,000.

On SBS it was Dateline (196,000) and Insight replay (177,000), Dr. Michel Mosley’s Reset (160,000) , SBS World News (138,000) and Mastermind (113,000).

Dino Dana on ABC KIDS topped multichannels at 199,000.

    1. And big numbers for Hot Seat and biggish numbers for 10 News First. Must be the freezing weather and people coming in early to warm up in front of the fire and put the telly on.
