At the age of 69 Don Johnson is set to reprise his role as Nash Bridges, eighteen years after he last appeared.
Johnson will again head up San Francisco’s Special Investigation Unit in what is reportedly a 2 hour special. But it could serve as the springboard to a further series. Creator Carlton Cuse is not attached.
The Hollywood Reporter notes the revival will pick up with Nash Bridges, circa 2020, still running San Francisco’s SIU and confronting a changing city, a new boss and a world in which police work focuses on modern data-crunching and predictive policing. Although the world around him has changed, Nash hasn’t.
The original series ran for six seasons from 1996 to 2001 and is currently replaying in Australia on 10 BOLD.
USA Network declined to comment.

Who asked for this?!
Oh my goodness he was a good looking man !
Enough with the remakes and revivals already. Surely there’s some original concepts left? Nostalgia has run its course.
I do get the argument, but I always keep saying it isn’t either / or. Most of the 400+ US dramas annually are originals.
‘Ah, nostalgia-it’s just not what it used to be…’
There’s an endless array of original content out there. Nostalgia won’t ever have run it’s course. Every now and then someone’s comment is just wrong lol.
