Updated: Nine will have Live coverage of the Netball World Cup 2019 from Liverpool tomorrow, but on different channels in different cities.

  1. It’s a massive night of sport for Nine tomorrow with NRL, the start of the women’s Ashes test and the netball. The cricket will be on 9Gem in all states. In Sydney and Brisbane, the NRL will be on main channel and the netball on 9GO!. In Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, normal programs (RBT, Australian Crime Stories, City of Evil) will be on main channel and the NRL on 9GO!, meaning 9Life has to be used to show the netball. I hope it’s a one-off.

  2. So bumped from HD to SD … oh well, better than not showing the netball at all.

    However, Nine’s own TV Guide at yourtv.com.au does not list the netball on 9Life.

    This is the most important match of the preliminary rounds … the winner will play South Africa (very slim chance it could be Jamaica) in the one semi and the looser will play England in the other semi. I know which team I would prefer to play against to get into the Grand Final.

      1. Oops, probably should have included a spoiler alert in my original post.

        While I was a little bit critical of Nine moving the netball to a SD channel, I do have to give kudos to Nine for acquiring the broadcast rights and showing the Aussie matches live on FTA TV and all the matches live (and for catch-up) on their 9Now streaming service … so many thanks Nine.
