Reality shows lift on Monday
Ratings: What headlines? All three reality shows improved last night as they close in on finales.

Australian Ninja Warrior enjoyed another timeslot win last night at a cool 942,000 and topped older demos. That was up on last Monday’s 923,000.
Despite the headlines encircling judge George Calombaris MasterChef Australia‘s semi-final (oddly coded as Grand Final Part 1) lifted to 742,000 and topped the younger demo.
Back Roads (645,000), a penultimate House Rules (also up at 644,000), and 7:30 (593,000) all followed.
Have You Been Paying Attention? led from its starting time at 668,000.
Nine network won Monday with 29.2% then Seven 27.3%, 10 20.7%, ABC 16.6% and SBS 6.3%.
Nine News drew 942,000 / 921,000 for Nine then A Current Affair (830,000), Hot Seat (542,000 / 289,000), and Murder Lies & Alibis (442,000).
Seven News was #1 for Seven at 1.12 / 1.04m then Home and Away (678,000). The Chase was 627,000 / 381,000 followed by SWAT (370,000 / 250,000).
The Project was 512,000 / 322,000 for 10 then 10 News First (417,000), Celebrity Name Game (230,000). An Akmal comedy special Transparent drew 200,000.
ABC News (647,000), Four Corners (509,000), Media Watch (503,000), Q&A (352,000) and The Drum (191,000) comprised ABC’s remaining shows.
On SBS it was Spending Secrets of the Royals (173,000), 24 Hours in Emergency (151,00) and SBS World News (141,000). World’s Best Diet was 71,000.
Bluey again topped multichannels at 210,000.

Today: 205,000
News Breakfast: 117,000 / 39,000

Seeing that photo of Rebecca Maddern reminds me of how good she is. Hope Nine uses her more as she was a brilliant on the road reporter and the best newsreader. Would love to see her fill in on Today.

Has that happened this year? I think MasterChef continied to dip year-on-year since re-growing in 2014 and again in 2015 for Billie’s 2.2m metro winner announced (which was wonderful for 10 to happen, after the 2013 hell-ish year)
