Seven today posted a casting notice for a new unnamed dating show where celebrities become a “wingman” for loveless singles.
The budget for this one sounds slim with only Sydney singles invited to attend.
“Seven Studios are producing a brand new dating show where our savvy and loved up celebrities will match make sexy singles,” it announces.
“We are looking for single men and women, who are Sydney based, to take part in the worlds shortest social experiment, where you’ll find out if its forever or never, in just one date!”
A Seven Spokesman said this will be produced for digital only.
“Seven Studios is producing a new digital short form dating show.”

I’m surprised they’re doing another dating show.I hope they steer clear of the sleazy mean spirited “social experiments” First Dates works because its average Joes having a fun date ,really looking forward to it coming back.
Sounds like someone was inspired by the movie Hitch with Will Smith or those scenes from other movies and TV programs where a dating wing person gives instructions on what to say through an earpiece. A classic plot.
Pretty much and basically all the way back to 1897 and Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand.
Along with their Outrageous weddings show it sounds like channel 7 are going all out.
“A Seven Spokesman said this will be produced for digital only”. Presumably this is not for FTA broadcast? Please, please let this be so.
Correct.
Oh my god Seven…give it up. It’s not happening – there is no golden goose dating show that’s going to be your MAFS or Bachelor. How many tries are you going to have? Just keep thinking about how you’re going to work the Masked Singer concept into a show for 2020.
100% agree lol
Could have that with this if they did The Masked Dating Show or Sexy Beasts, guess though we’ll see Masquerade Voices or some such thing.
Seven just bring back First Dates please
Agreed. It’s the only one I watch. Although Love Island does pique my interest. Oh and Naked Attraction 😉
Seven keeps trying new dating shows, but so far they haven’t had much success in the ratings…
First Dates has done well. I guess there is the chance they are making it for another crowd.
Temptation Island on a budget cut? ?
