Returning: Love Island

Season 2 of Nine dating reality show returns in early October

Season 2 of Love Island returns to Nine in early October with host Sophie Monk.

Now screening on the primary channel, the dating reality show is again produced by ITV Studios Australia.

Sophie Monk said: “I’m ridiculously excited to meet a whole new group of Islanders. The cast is on another level this year. I’m hanging to watch my favourite show with you all and see gorgeous people falling in love. My advice to Islanders? Just be yourself, but from what I’ve heard… be prepared for some serious twists and turns!”

Nine is yet to confirm a Fiji destination as home to this year’s love shack.

Love Island Australia – which was one of the most-talked about shows last year – sees a group of sexy singles coupling up in a luxury villa in search of the ultimate holiday of lust, romance and love.

Not only must the Love Island couples stay together, they must also survive the temptations as beautiful new singles enter the island. They must also win the hearts of the public, convincing them – and themselves – that their newfound love is real. The winning couple is handed a pot of money to start their new lives together, but there’s a catch: one is given the chance to share the money or walk away with it all for them self. Were they after love or money all along?

8.45pm Monday, October 7 on Nine.
