  1. When is enough, enough. For 2 days, every news bulletin on morning TV ran at least 3 minutes on this non-story on Sunday and Monday. Every other news bulletin also ran at least 5 minute packages. Then ACA did the full episode on it last night, prior to this program airing. Surely the story is: He is dead and no more need to be said…

  2. Didn’t Nine devote an hour to this last night, replacing the promoted 60 Minutes stories? Was waiting for the “Water Rats” piece but switched off when this came on.

  3. I was thinking the same thing, however I think the difference here is that it’s so close to home and quite recent. For example, if there was a doc on say Ted Bundy or John Wayne Gacy no-one would bat an eyelid. I won’t be watching this, but true crime docos will always exist. As long as they don’t glorify the subject. I recently watched the Life and Death Row series and found it quite interesting.

    1. Yep, you’ve basically answered your own question. They are two separate categories. Mass murderer/killer is many killings at once, serial killer is over a longer period.

  4. Seriously…reporting on criminals and their lives should be banned…the New Zealand PM took the right approach with the Aust. shooter…shut down any mention.
This man is getting just what he wanted…notoriety…people talking about him ?
