Gogglebox tops entertainment shows, Seven wins Thursday.

Ratings: Gogglebox & Bachelorette push 10 into second place ahead of Nine on a quiet Thursday.

It was mostly another quiet Thursday but there were a few points of interest in the daily numbers.

The season final of Gogglebox was the top entertainment show of the night at 794,000 followed by The Bachelorette at 694,000. These both topped the demos and helped push 10 into second place ahead of Nine.

An extended Home and Away was the nearest competitor at 513,000 which together with Seven News at 879,000 / 845,000 ensured Seven won the night.

Seven network won Thursday with 29.0% then 10 23.3%, Nine 23.0%, ABC 17.4% and SBS 7.2%.

The Chase drew 503,000 / 321,000 for Seven and movie: Wonder Woman was 317,000.

The Project pulled 445,000 / 252,000 for 10 then 10 News First (324,000) and a Playing for Keeps replay (176,000) Celebrity Name Game was low at 166,000.

Nine News was 761,000 / 753,000 for Nine then A Current Affair (639,000), RBT (473,000) and Hot Seat (413,000 / 279,000). Love Island drew 228,000 and movie: Fifty Shades Darker was just 136,000.

ABC News (627,000), an extended 7:30 (460,000), Escape from the City (403,000), Vera (299,000), Sammy J  (266,000) and The Drum (167,000) made up ABC’s night.

On SBS it was Ainsley’s Australian Market Menu (170,000), SBS World News (123,000), Monty Don’s Paradise Gardens (120,000).  The Name Of The Rose was 46,000.

7TWO’s Father Brown topped multichannels at 168,000.

Studio 10: 59,000 / 54,000 /

  1. I see The Bachelorette courting controversy again last night with who Angie sent home. It makes me very sad, not because he went home as such but that the viewers hardly got to see him at all on our screens. They concentrate on one or two of the men and that’s it. Just so wrong on so many counts.

  2. Who would’ve thought when it started almost 5 years ago that Gogglebox would be rating this well on 10. A top rating show, killing it in the demos and one of the highlights of the week for many. Myself included.

  3. I note Escape from the City was meant to be a 40 episode run, it seems like there are not many left now? I haven’t heard any whispers of a second season? Or will it be a biannual series?
