Karl rumours gather ahead of Upfronts

Is Nine about to announce changes for Today?

The rumour mill is hitting overdrive on Nine’s Upfronts to be held later today, with chatter a very big announcement is coming…

Speculation won’t go away that Karl Stefanovic could be returning to Today and some whispers have now thrown Alison Langdon into the mix.

Where that would leave the current line-up is unclear, but it would mean a reshuffle of some roles should it come to pass.

There have been lots of rumours around Today with Nine most recently denying Carrie Bickmore had been approached (it did not deny Stefanovic as part of the latest reports).

Nine’s Upfronts will commence at 4:30pm AEDT at FOX Studios. TV Tonight will be Live tweeting.

  1. I think Lisa Wilkinson was the foundation of this show. She always pulled it back when it got too silly and it never recovered from her abrupt departure.

  3. David I also just found out you can watch Channel Nine’s Live Upfront on the 9Now App. So I’m watching it Live right now.! Can’t wait for big announcements.

  4. Please No Karl! Someone needs to tell him and Nine that he is not funny!!!! He may be a good reporter but he is not a good morning show host. Current Today team are doing well even if ratings dont show it – just get rid of the biggest bore Richard Wilkins

  6. Hey David I’m wondering is it possible to attend Upfronts? In this case Channel Nine’s Upfronts? Because I’ll actually be very close to Fox Studios later. Or is it only for the media.?? Cheers..

  7. Unusually for commercial television, Nine have given the ‘new’ Today every chance to find its feet this year and for whatever reason it just hasn’t, it must almost be certain that there will be changes afoot for 2020.
