Airdate: Good Food Christmas

Adam Liaw, Jill Dupleix and Alice Zaslavsky present a festive special for Nine.

Without their annual Women’s Weekly Christmas special, Nine wasted no time in bringing a Good Food Christmas special to screens next month with Adam Liaw, Jill Dupleix and Alice Zaslavsky.

Featuring a raft of great recipes and Christmas hacks, some of Australia’s top chefs including MasterChef winner and TV presenter Adam Liaw, food writer and editor Jill Dupleix and colourful, best-selling cook book author Alice Zaslavsky will bring viewers the latest in food and drink trends for the festive season.

Nothing says Aussie Christmas like fresh prawns, and the serving options are endless. Whether part of a platter, accompanied by delicious sauces or part of a fresh lettuce cup, the classic prawn is a surefire way to take your Christmas lunch to the next level.

Learn the tastiest way to use up leftover Christmas ham, the three essential ingredients in your pantry to make an emergency starter for over-enthusiastic guests who arrive too early, and what to do when your pavlova cracks, crumbles or just plain fails.

Special guests Brooke Boney, Livinia Nixon and Lara Vella will also join in the festivities, taking viewers between Sydney and Melbourne to source the best Christmas cocktails, find the freshest seafood, and see how to make the easiest roast turkey ever.

The cherry on top, is Adam Liaw’s showstopping desert, a festive twist on the much-loved tiramisu – Chrissamisu, created exclusively for Good Food Christmas.

Saturday, December 7, at 5.25pm on Nine.

  1. I think I’ll take a reindeer check thanks,if you want to watch shows about cooking for Christmas you cant beat the English ones or Americans ,and at 25 minutes if you’re lucky it’ll be a quick and tasteless program.
