  1. Always fascinating to compare with the UK where everyone sits down to watch television post Christmas dinner and the networks bring out the biggest of the big guns.

    Here in Australia we seem to just treat it as repeat night yet I think there is a vast audience out there wanting content on the public holiday who are just not being offered anything really. Perhaps in 2020 they could try some premiere drama or a special of one of their prominent shows and just see what happens. With the right promotion it could be a re-defining moment for free to air in Australia.

  2. With those ratings surely 7 and 9 could run a national bulletin at 6pm, just a newsreader no sport or weather presenter. Give more people the day off….

  3. I always like looking at the ratings for Christmas Day, as it is, as expected, the lowest ratings day of the year.

    It is interesting to see what daytime movie and/or carols repeats would make the list this time around. This time, it was the film “Oh Christmas Tree” at #19, that aired from 9-11am.
