Disney Channel, Disney Junior to exit Foxtel.

No more Disney on Foxtel following the launch of Disney+ in Australia.

Two Disney channels will be discontinued on Foxtel at the end of February.

Foxtel has advised Disney Channel (Ch. 707) and Disney Junior (Ch. 709) will be leaving the platform on February 29.

This follows the launch of Disney+ streaming in Australia and follows Disney content leaving its Movies platforms last November. Disney XD ceased broadcasting in January 2019.

Kids content will remain through CBeebies, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr, Cartoon Network and Boomerang while ABC Kids can now be accessed on iQ3 and iQ4 set top boxes.

  1. Disney Movies, Eurosport, Discovery Kids, Style, and now these two – the religious channels and Sky News will be all that’s left soon
The price must have dropped by $5-10 a month? (HAHA)

  2. Lol and subscribers stay with Foxtel even with them losing channel after channel but never a price decrease…so Foxtel can do what they want and no one bats a eyelid

  3. I can see Fetch loosing the Disney channels , shame I enjoyed watching some of the content , but with Disney +, being added once the platform is made , we will see ?

    1. From what I understand from Fetch , adding the apps to the Fetch mini is delaying the apps for Disney and Amazon , something to do with memory space , bit to IT for me to explain, looks like they need to simplify the display menu on the Fetch box , it should just says on the tabs , apps, recording and movies etc ,

  4. It doesn’t really surprise
I just hope that TCM makes a comeback as I miss watching classic movies on the platform and Fox Classics doesn’t really “scratch that itch’ for me

    1. The content on those channels is/will be in the Disney + service, so it isn’t going to be exclusive to Fetch. I wouldn’t assume those Disney channels will stay on Fetch once the current deal expires.
