Sunrise US showbiz correspondent picks up an award from the US Publicists Guild.

Sunrise US showbiz correspondent Nelson Aspen has won the International Media Award bestowed on a journalist each year by the US Publicists Guild.

It was 5th time lucky for the Sunrise correspondent, who told TV Tonight, “I was starting to feel like Susan Lucci at the Emmys or Glenn Close at the Oscars!

“Having a moment to celebrate with Jen Aniston was a bonus.  Aside from having interviewed her many times, my first TV gig was alongside her dear dad, John, on Search for Tomorrow in 1984!.

“It’s special to accept the honour on Oscars weekend especially as it also marks my 17th Anniversary with Sunrise. ”

Aspen was back on the red carpet today at the Academy Awards. Naturally.
Congrats Nelson!
