  1. Good on the SBS for the hype, but a quick Google tells you all you want to know, including that Saudi Arabia still crucify prisoners albeit after death by beheading. Rome didn’t invent crucifixion it originated with the Assyrians and Babylonians, the Phoenicians introduced it to Rome in the 1st century BC.
    Humankind are a wonderful lot.
