Drama wave about to hit screens

There are 3 new local dramas, and 2 more returning, next week.

Good news for viewers hankering for local drama with three new offerings to hit screens next week.

Informer 3838 premieres at 8:45pm Monday on Nine, starring Ella Scott Lynch, Gyton Grantley and Robert Mammone. Nine is not releasing any previews for media, which appears to be more concern around the legal sensitivities rather than the quality of production (but who can say?).

10’s new psychological thriller The Secrets She Keeps premieres at 8:45pm Wednesday. The 6 part series has received strong word of mouth since it premiered at 10 Play over Easter.

NITV premieres its new indigenous kids series Thalu at 6:30pm Monday. Featuring an ensemble of first-time child actors, they star as Pilbara kids who undertake a journey to save their Country from the threat of a mysterious dust cloud and its inhabitants, the Takers.

Meanwhile Mystery Road is back for its second season at 8:30pm Sunday on ABC.

Nine also resumes its Doctor Doctor season from 7:30pm Wednesday. You can refresh with a marathon this Saturday night.

  1. Highly recommend The Secret She Keeps. That and Tiger King were my choices for Easter binge watching. Still available to watch on 10 Play until Wednesday

  2. It was a shame the abc didn’t repeat the first season of Mystery Road in the lead up. It hasn’t even been available to see on iView. I’ll have to check out season 2 cold, to check what all the fuss was about, as well as the surprising most popular vote win at last years Logies.

  3. Great, something decent to watch. Looking forward to Informer 3838, Mystery Road, and Doctor Doctor, and thanks for the heads up abouth the encore marathon on Saturday night David, as I’ve missed most of this season.
Mostly looking forward to Murder In the Outback, and hope it initiates a review of Bradley Murdoch’s conviction.
