US crime drama Leverage, which ended in 2012 was announced this week as having a revival.
The series ran for five seasons and centred around a group of criminals led by a former insurance investigator, who fight corporate and governmental injustices.
IMDb TV, Amazon’s free, ad-supported streaming service, has ordered the revival to be led by Noah Wyle joined by original cast members Beth Riesgraf, Gina Bellman Christian Kane and Aldis Hodge.
However original lead Timothy Hutton, who recently faced sexual assault allegations, is not returning.
Filming is tentatively slated to begin in late June-early July in Louisiana following safety protocols to protect the cast and crew from the coronavirus pandemic.

This was an enjoyable series. I will check it out, but I hope Amazon just slaps it on Prime in Australia. I don’t want whatever that IMDB TV thing is to watch it. I hate ads.
IMDB TV is only available in the US, so Amazon Prime here would seem a logical choice.
It was a rather silly, low, budget TNT drama. A bit of fun robin hood fantasy attacking corporate America. I watch the 2nd season on Fox8. A strange choice for a remake, but I guess when you are the 1500th scripted show that’s been made in the last few years, there aren’t any better ideas left.
I guess it must have decent viewership on streaming.
“Crime Drama” is a bit of a stretch. More of a Caper series.
