Season 8 of Call the Midwife has snuck into ABC’s schedule tonight.
This debuted in the UK in January 2019.
The hugely successful drama returns with more laughter, tears and inspiring stories. Call the Midwife follows the nuns and nurses as they provide the expectant mothers of Poplar with the best possible care. Series 8 continues to explore complex medical and personal situations on the midwifery and district nursing rounds. It is now 1964 and it’s evident how times are changing: from the beacon of the contraceptive pill and the shadow of the 1967 Abortion Act, to the introduction of a new cancer-screening programme. The nuns and nurses continue to face a variety of challenging issues including interracial adoption, cleft palate, sickle cell and cot death. And for one of the team, romance could be on the horizon.
8:30pm Saturdays on ABC.

Season 8!? Jeez.
Universal seem to have given up on waiting for ABC to air it as they have released Season 8 on DVD last year and Season 9 earlier this very week.
Certainly snuck in- I didn’t see any promos all week, and I don’t think it was mentioned at the end of Van Der Valk last Saturday.
I only spotted it by chance, nothing received.
Yes, me too.
