ITV is hopeful of returning to Australia for I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here (UK).
Speaking at the Edinburgh Television Festival via video link, the ITV boss Kevin Lygo confirmed it is likely to go ahead in Australia in December, but are looking for alternative programming if it’s not possible.
The Ant & Dec series normally films near Murwillumbah, NSW in November and draws big British audiences when it airs.
The Sun claims ITV is advertising for crew in Australia.
Meanwhile 10 is yet to formally renew the Australian production, which did well for 10 in January, but which films in South Africa.

It would be neat if 10 could air this as well, though having two back-to-back seasons (UK followed by Australia) may be slightly overkill.
But it’s not like they have much else to air these days.
Maybe it’d been smarter to move it to January or February next year, and swapping it out with Saturday Night Takeaway?
“Likely to go ahead in December”. I don’t know what planet he’s on. I wonder if Ten will consider filming an Aussie version in Australia on the UK set….
I also wonder about 10, it makes me think why they never did in the first place, I can’t see how it would affect ratings and would be a significant cost-cutter I imagine.
It’d be wise to start considering it and looking at extending it too if shows like MAFS have to air differently, Survivor up in the air and Sevens MKR flunking.
After the hit the industry took this year, I’d imagine talent will be looking to get noticed.
I agree…they should have returned to a six week series a while ago and I am fine with it being filmed in Australia for next year only.
