Darklands is a six-part crime drama series set on the outskirts of Dublin amidst a violent gang war between two rival crews, The Hill Crew and The Keegan’s. Damien Dunne, our protagonist, is a young man who aspires to be a professional MMA fighter. Damien wants to fight in the cage, not on the streets, but brother Wesley’s involvement with The Hill Crew drags him into the world he’s trying to avoid. As Damien progresses with his MMA career and blossoming relationship with Nicola Keegan, the historic feud between The Hill Crew and Keegan’s is intensifying due to the reappearance of Bernie Butler and Goose Keegan. While Bernie and Goose call the shots, younger gang members are rising through the ranks including Damien’s pals Donna, Keith and Ian and his girlfriend’s brother Jason Keegan. Damien’s life spirals into chaos when Wesley goes missing following a botched drug deal, and Damien takes it upon himself to uncover the truth regarding his brother’s disappearance.
