Seven extends deal with with Racing NSW

More Live broadcasts of Randwick and Rosehill Gardens on Seven.

Seven has now reached an agreement with Racing NSW to extend its Live broadcasts of racing at Randwick and Rosehill Gardens to cover the next six weeks.

Legendary broadcaster Bruce McAvaney will lead Seven’s coverage alongside Hamish McLachlan, Henry Dwyer and Katelyn Mallyon.

Managing Director Seven Melbourne and Head of Network Sport Lewis Martin said, “Adding Sydney’s races to our coverage over the next six weeks means we’ve got all of Australia’s best racing covered – Live and free nationally. It’s a huge win for racing fans, one that wouldn’t have been possible without the invaluable support of all the leaders of the sport of racing.”

Seven was already committed to bringing viewers all the very best racing action from Victoria over the next six weeks, along with Adelaide’s iconic Autumn Carnival and, from May 23, the pinnacle of Queensland racing, the Brisbane Winter Carnival.

Now fans can also look forward to some outstanding racing in Sydney, starting this Saturday with the listed Gosford Gold Cup and Takeover Target Stakes from Randwick. And next weekend Rosehill will host part of the transferred Scone Carnival, including feature races the Dark Jewel Classic and Luskin Star Stakes.

This Saturday’s other highlights include the Group 1 South Australian Derby at Morphettville, where local hope Dalasan – unbeaten in South Australia – will face stiff opposition from Victoria Derby winner Warning, Russian Camelot and last week’s Oaks runner-up Moonlight Maid.

And at Caulfield a nine-race card will ensure there’s no shortage of action for viewers.
