  1. I was going to nominate Deejays for their comment re Big Brother and Aldi for comment of the week but I think David should get it for his COVID testing reply to maxxdude !!!!

  2. David where do all those 800K – 1m viewers of The Voice go on a Tues night as there doesn’t seem to be a dramatic increase of either MasterChef or Big Brother?

    1. Stan, Netflix, Amazoon, Disney, iView SBS On Demand, the various other catch-up service, same as when Big Brother and Masterchef aren’t on. I would guess that once some of those that have watched what they wanted to on free to air then they do the same on the streamers. Bit like how I will subscribe to Stan or Netflix for a bit when a show or shows I like are on and then cancel until next time, I drop in and out of things when it suits my schedule of viewing and what appeals to me.

        1. Hahahaha just noticed I typed Amazoon instead of Amazon.

Just my uneducated guess, I am of the thought that not all people who watch The Voice would go to the other shows (and vice-versa) and given there are only so many hours in a day to watch TV, I figure some may end up watching streaming. As for SVOD, pretty sure it has been said here before that they don’t give out numbers of viewers, however there may be nights that are higher than others and perhaps Tuesday is one. A few years back Tuesday’s used to dip due to half-price Cinema nights, however that is not the case now, well even without covid-19 restrictions as it was back in 2016 Village limited that to members only ($13 Tuesdays).
