Nostalgia special 50 Years Of Star Trek screens at SBS VICELAND this Sunday.

This is a 2016 special produced for the History channel.

50 Years of Star Trek is a documentary special that takes a broad look at the lasting social and cultural impact of the global phenomenon that started in 1966. Told in 10 acts, the special takes viewers through the entire history of Star Trek on television and film while highlighting the social and technological influence of the legendary series.

Notable cast members such as Leonard Nimoy, Nichelle Nichols, Jonathan Frakes, and Whoopi Goldberg join writers, producers and directors like Nicholas Meyer, Brannon Braga and Ronald D. Moore to tell intimate, never before heard stories about what it took to bring Star Trek to life. The special features an in-depth roundtable discussion with cast members, comedians, scientists, and academics talking all things Trek.
