Nine has picked up US renovation series Celebrity IOU which it will pair with The Block from late August.

The HGTV-produced series features the Property Brothers and sees Hollywood A-listers express their gratitude to people who have had a major impact on their lives by surprising them with home renovations.

Brad Pitt features in the first episode, with a reno for a favourite make-up artist, while others include Viola Davis, Rebel Wilson, and Melissa McCarthy.

This premieres on Monday August 24 after The Block (Nine is yet to confirm if the latter launches Sunday 23 or Monday 24.
