“It’s been an absolute pleasure”

Natarsha Belling posts a classy thank-you note, after she was let go by Network 10.

Natarsha Belling has posted a classy, humble note to her Instagram followers after last week being let go by the network where she has worked for 22 years.

“I have been overwhelmed with all the love and support so many of you have shown me over the past four days. To all the wonderful viewers, colleagues, family and friends, thank you for all your beautiful messages, they mean the world to me. It’s been an absolute pleasure being part of the Network 10 family for more than 22 years. And I want to thank the network for all the wonderful opportunities I’ve enjoyed over the past two decades,” she wrote.

“During that time, I’ve worked with some of the very best in the TV business who have inspired me with their skill, passion and dedication.

“2020 has been such a challenging year for so many, and it has in many ways reminded us about what truly matters in life. I’m sad to leave, but excited about the new chapter ahead. I can’t wait to share with you what’s coming up!

“Take care and see you soon. Tarsh”

  1. One of the things I like seeing on TV is when Newsreaders are away from the newsdesk and we see their personality and smile. Natarsha was definitely one of those. Always enjoyed her when she filled on on The Project with here laughing moments. A great fun personality. Just a pity she was never part of an overly successful production.

  2. The last line suggests she’s about to get a gig somewhere else. But according to 9 that’s not a job on the Today show as many have speculated.

  3. I can remember her anchoring bulletins all the way back to the very early 2000s, when she’d fill-in for Sandra Sully or Tracey Spicer on 10’s Late News. Used to watch 10’s Morning News at 11am with her regularly a decade ago.

Ever since 2012 after 10 had lost the AFL, restructured their organisation and in my opinion never fully recovered to a competitive level once seen in the 2000s / early 2010s against Seven and Nine, she was just shuffled around from one failed morning show to the next. Credit for being a main stayer.
