Returning: Trust Me

Second and final season screens on BBC First in September.

The second and final season of Trust Me will screen on BBC First in September.

It features Elfred Enoch (How To Get Away With Murder), John Hannah (Four Weddings and a Funeral), Ashley Jensen (Catastrophe), Richard Rankin (Outlander) and Katie Clarkson-Hill (The Innocents).

The 4 part series aired in the UK in April 2019.

Created and written by BAFTA nominee Dan Sefton (The Good Karma Hospital), the series returns with a new cast and a new story. Corporal Jamie McCain is a survivor of a shock enemy attack. Recovering from a spinal injury and unable to walk, Jamie now faces a new enemy as fellow patients on the unit start dying unexpectedly around him. Jamie believes the deaths are suspicious – but unable to move, his investigation is dangerous and difficult. With everyone in the department hiding a secret, catching a culprit seems like an impossible task. But with Jamie’s behaviour becoming increasingly erratic, is the threat real or imagined?

The series deals with complex universal themes of trust and identity including the complexities of battling one’s own demons following a trauma.

Trust Me Series 2 is directed by BAFTA nominee John Alexander (Exile) and produced by ACCTA award winner Suzanne Reid (Peaky Blinders).

8:30pm Sunday September 6 on BBC First.
