Friday Flashback: KAK “Still the One”
When she signed off Midday in 1998, Kerri-Anne sang up a storm.

Back when she was hosting Midday, Kerri-Anne Kennerley sang up a storm with ye olde Channel Nine theme “Still the One.”
This clip also includes her final show in 1998 singing “That’s Life.”
As she leaves Studio 10 today, albeit after just 2 of their 7 years on air, she could doubtless still bang these out if someone handed her a mike (wink, wink Channel 10 party).
Or try and stop her.

An interesting history with Still the One. It was the wedding song of the GM of Nine at the time. It proved so popular Nine used it for 23 years.
They should bring back Beauty And The Beast with KAK as a beauty. Or she could host Ready Steady Cook. She would even be great on radio.
Watching that makes me so sad for the current day TV industry. To think back then, that was offered up and normal just for day time TV…and so bloody entertaining! I know it’s dreaming, but would love to see KAK have her own prime time variety/chat show again! I know the accountants think it’s too expensive blah blah blah…but at the end of the day, what do accountants know about showbiz and what would get bums on couches in front of the telly again. More entertainment, less reality please!
I loved her when I was a small child & she was on the Channel Niners & Everybody’s In through to GMA & Midday then Mornings with KAK.
Oh thanks David Knox….Love it❣…..How I miss happy, joyful variety shows….just fun….nothing political or led by corny comedians….😊
Next Masked Singer contestant?
Yes! We’ll all guess Gina Riley 😄
I love seeing how much joy KAK gets out singing
