I call it desperation.
Similar to the con job they do with the AFL coverage – post, pre figures pfttt
Seven sometimes split the AFL into a pre-game and pre-match segments for the ratings too. Odd.
The top 20 shows yesterday was more like a top 15 (Seven News, Nine News, The Project, The Chase and Hot Seat were all split into 2).
I’ve never understood the purpose of coding an hour of news as two different programs. Are they distinctly different?
I’ve watched the news occasionally and they seem identical.
Now, however, I see the light. People are watching 7 for the first half hour and then switching over to 9 for the second half hour. ????
How else to explain the ratings?
Don’t get me started… they also don’t do it on weekends.
