Denise Drysdale injured in Holey Moley fall

A fall on Holey Moley set sees veteran performer taken by ambulance to hospital.

Veteran performer Denise Drysdale is in a Brisbane hospital following a fall overnight on the set of Holey Moley.

The 71 year old fell during filming and was taken by ambulance to hospital. Update: She has a fractured shoulder.

TV Tonight understands the segment required her to wear electrodes that gave her a shock when she missed a putt.

Studio 10 reported today Drysdale fell whilst filming a “mystery project” in Queensland.

“She was doing that yesterday and she took a tumble,” Craig Bennett said this morning. “She’s wound up, I have to say doing herself a terrible damage, she’s in hospital now. She’s going to be okay, but she just can’t take a trick can she?”

Shooting on the Eureka Productions series, which has seen filming until 5am in the morning, is due to wrap tomorrow.

A Eureka Productions spokesperson said: “While filming Holey Moley in Brisbane last night, Denise Drysdale tripped on a putting green and sustained a shoulder injury. She is resting and receiving treatment. Denise is a national treasure and everyone is wishing her a speedy recovery.”

Denise Drysdale said this morning, “Mummy has took a tumble and has broken one of her chicken wings. The hospital are taking good care of me.”

  1. Whose brilliant idea was it to put electrodes on a 71 year old? I hope Work Safe QLD do a thorough audit of the production companies safety procedures and practices. Wishing Denise a speedy and not too painful recovery.

  2. Wearing electrodes that shock you when you miss a putt? If that’s the level of comedy they’re going for I’ll pass thanks. Hope Denise is better soon.

      1. My thoughts too. Was going to give this a watch since their is bugger else on these days. However if theely are giving their audience humour by wearing an electric shock collar, my hand is definitely on the remote looking for another channel.
