As Foxtel marks 25 years since its very first broadcast, here’s a look back at their 1995 Christmas promo, which saw Bill Collins as a movie director in the middle of a frenzied edit of The Little Drummer Boy.
Not sure what was in the red cordial that day but this is a dizzying reel….
Cameos include Maynard, Mike Hammond and Santa.

I rang Foxtel the other day and Mike Hammond’s dulcet tones can still be heard on its automated prompts. It’s been a good gig for him!
Dizzying indeed…
Red cordial? Me thinks it might have been so bad acid lol
Lol. Before Foxtel outsourced all their marketing campaigns.
OMG but cool seeing Bill Collins those were the days when Foxtel was something unique and good and had classic movies only and music shows.
Love your Friday flashbacks DK. Very nostalgic and fun
