Kieran Gilbert anchors Qld election coverage from 6pm AEST.


SKY News today will broadcast Live coverage of the Queensland election.

From 12:00pm AEST (QLD time) / 1:00pm AEDT join Political Reporter Tom Connell as he anchors a special edition of Weekend Live providing viewers with the latest updates and final developments of the campaign as candidates Annastacia Palaszczuk and Deb Frecklington conduct last minute campaigning.

Tom will be crossing throughout the day to Sky News Queensland reporters Julia Bradley reporting from the make or break regions across Townsville as well as Brendan Smith, Anna Rawlings and Jonathan Lea live from Brisbane.

Then, join Chief News Anchor Kieran Gilbert and the Sky News Australia team for live coverage of the Queensland Election from 5:00pm AEST (QLD time) / 6:00pm AEDT.

Kieran will be joined by an expert QLD political panel including Deputy Nationals Leader and QLD Nationals MP, David Littleproud, Shadow Northern Australia Minister and former QLD Labor MP, Murray Watt and One Nation Leader, Pauline Hanson.

Former LNP QLD Premier, Campbell Newman and media strategist Leisa Goddard will also provide insights throughout the broadcast.

Sky News anchor Peter Gleeson will be crossing live from The Courier-Mail newsroom, joined by LNP Senator for QLD, James McGrath and Former QLD Labor MP & Speaker, John Mickel.

Leading Sky News commentators Paul Murray, Alan Jones, Graham Richardson, together with Political Editor Andrew Clennell and Political Reporter Laura Jayes will also provide analysis.
