The royal family and the tabloid press have had a long and complicated relationship. This series exposes how editors and journalists secured sensational royal scoops, iconic pictures and most memorable front pages. This is the inside story of the British tabloid’s obsession with the Royals. Is this intrusion into their personal lives justified?
Series One, Episode One:
Princess Diana was the Queen of the tabloids – she was the ultimate front page pin up. Her public life played out on the front pages of Britain’s red tops for two decades. She was, to the press, the most interesting royal for a generation, and helped to sell more papers than any other member of the House of Windsor.
