Ratings switch-off imminent

Ratings: Home & Away leads in entertainment on Thursday, with 2020 ratings set to wrap tomorrow.

With OzTAM survey year wrapping tomorrow, today marks the last regular ratings wrap for the year (as always TVT will still file on ‘newsy’ results).

And Thursday was a sign of the quiet summer season…

Home & Away‘s penultimate outing in 2020 was best in entertainment at 501,000 viewers.

7:30 won its slot at 516,000 then Paramedics (350,000), Scottish Vets Down Under (326,000), Jamie’s Easy Meals For Every Day (289,000) and Secrets Of Britain (149,000).

Later Kings Cross ER drew 302,000 / 261,000 then Griff’s Great Kiwi Road Trip (306,000), The Front Bar (274,000), Law & Order: S.V.U (215,000 / 173,000) and Empire With Michael Portillo  (145,000).

Seven network won Thursday with 29.6% then Nine 26.7%, ABC 17.9%, 10 17.8% and SBS 8.9%.

Seven News was #1 and topped the demos with 884,000 / 867,000 for Seven. The Chase drew 422,000 / 260,000 and The Latest was 220,000.

Nine News (748,000 / 743,000) was best for Nine. A Current Affair won its slot at 565,000. Hot Seat (404,000 / 240,000) and Chicago Med followed at 155,000.

ABC News drew 627,000 for ABC. Death in Paradise (180,000) and The Drum (151,000) followed.

The Project pulled 403,000 / 229,000 for 10. 10 News First managed just 294,000 / 167,000.

On SBS it was SBS World News (126,000), Fargo (60,000) and Mastermind (56,000).

Bluey capped off multichannels again at 218,000.

Today Extra: 99,000 / 35,000
Studio 10: 36,000 / 34,000 / 22,000

  1. Bring on summer! LOL. I predict cricket will do better for Seven and Foxtel this time, mainly thanks to a better side in India and a condensed Big Bash, with tennis doing lower with less traditional lead-up tournaments and a still as yet unknown Aus Open dates.

    Then there’s Carols, NYE, Australia Day, etc.

    But who knows.
