Oops. NZ breakfast TV show pranked
NZ breakfast show was fooled into wishing a happy wedding anniversary to two UK serial killers.

A New Zealand breakfast TV programme has apologised after being pranked into wishing a happy 30th anniversary to Fred and Rosemary West…. both of whom tortured and dismembered at least nine young women between 1973 and 1981, burying the bodies at their own home, which became known as the ‘House of Horrors’ on Cromwell Street in the UK.
General manager of corporate communications for the network, Rachel Howard, released an apology to the Herald, saying that extra checks would be made in future.
“An image of Rosemary and Fred West was sent into the Breakfast team along with a false backstory for our Today’s the Day segment. Unfortunately, this wasn’t caught before going to air.”
