Tim Minchin teases Upright S2

A second season for Foxtel comedy won't necessarily be another roadtrip for its abrasive duo.

Foxtel hopes to produce a second season of its AACTA winning comedy Upright,  produced by Lingo Pictures.

Tim Minchin, who also won Best Comedy Performer, told TV Tonight there are still things to lock into place.

“We are closer, but it’s a really interesting year because there’s a lot of moving parts. There’s a lot of stuff suddenly being made, Australia’s busy, there’s availabilities, funding and stuff. So it’s still a question, but I’m pretty excited by the idea of it and I’m quite stubborn,” he said.

Asked if he envisages another roadtrip for the Lucky Flynn & Meg, he replied, “It won’t be that simple, but there’s plenty of reasons why they might need each other again. Plenty of story yet to untangle.”

Co-star Milly Alcock added, “I just love making the show. It’s is such a great experience, getting to see Australia. Location, location, location!”

Binge will also screen Upright from Boxing Day.
