Tiger King star ‘Joe Exotic”s hopes of receiving a pardon from former president Donald Trump were dashed after his name was not included on the official list.
Exotic’s legal team were fighting for his release, hoping Trump would issue a pardon for him on his last day as the US president.
They were so confident Exotic would be pardoned, his legal team reportedly even had a stretch limo waiting to pick him up from the prison.
Trump issued pardons to a total of 73 convicted people, including Stephen Bannon, his former political strategist and rapper Lil Wayne.
Joseph Maldonado-Passage, aka Exotic, was convicted and sentenced to 22 years in prison for a murder-for-hire plot and for violating wildlife laws.
Meanwhile a federal judge in Oklahoma has ordered the new owners of a zoo featured in Tiger King to turn over all the lion and tiger cubs in their possession, along with the animals’ mothers, to the federal government.

Just wondering why people thought Joe was deserving of a pardon.Because he was ‘colourful’ and he was made famous by a Netflix documentary? Is that reason enough to get a pardon?
Joe would’ve had a better chance if he was a Rapper
I doubt if Trump has seen Tiger King.
