Indigenous football shows return to NITV later this month.

Indigenous football shows Yokayi Footy and Over the Black Dot return to NITV later this month.

Yokayi Footy will welcome AFL enthusiast and fitness expert Megan Waters joining fellow young media star Tony Armstrong as host, together with former triple premiership Brisbane Lions and Australian Indigenous Team of the Century player Darryl White. Andrew Krakouer also joins as a regular panelist this year.

Yokayi Footy will continue to AFL through bold conversation, entertainment and a youthful lens, with hard-hitting monologues, community stories and guest spots with prominent Indigenous players.

NRL panelists journalist Jodan Perry, dual international rugby player Timana Tahu, NRL premiership winner George Rose and dual international athlete Bo de la Cruz all return Over the Black Dot.

Each week, the panel will be joined by special guests to review and analyse each round of the NRL.

NITV’s Head of Sport, Mark Ella, said: “After a tumultuous year for sport, we can’t wait to welcome our flagship AFL and NRL shows back in 2021.

“Welcoming Megan to our Yokayi Footy family is a great way to start the season, and we’re so looking forward to introducing her to our audience. We’re also thrilled to be working closely with the AFL once again, continuing the positive impact the two organisations can make together.

“And of course, who could forget about the Dot – our incredible panel are back again, and I personally can’t wait to see what they have in store for us.”

Yokayi Footy will return on Wednesday 17 March at 8:00pm on NITV, SBS, SBS On Demand, AFL.com.au and the AFL Live app.

Over the Black Dot follows at 8:35pm on NITV and SBS On Demand.

Both programs will be repeated on SBS VICELAND.
